It is a season of relief from the sweltering and relentless heat of an Australian summer, yet still warm enough to spend valuable time outdoors before winters chill encroaches.
The veggie patch is overflowing with delicious produce and everything is slowly beginning to undergo a process of ripening and decay.
For me, the brief splash of colour that autumn brings before the leaves fall and skies darken into winter signifies the power of nature to bring respite, change and renewal.
